About Me

CURRENT MISSION

TRAVEL. Go everywhere.

ABOUT ME

I love to teach and I love to travel. That's what I spend most of my time doing. (It's too bad the latter doesn't pay as well.)

I also dabble in cooking, music, photography, and spending inordinate amounts of time on Wikipedia.

I'd like to think that if I were born 200 years earlier I would have been hanging with Lewis and Clark exploring the unknown. That would have pretty much been amazing.

PHILOSOPHY

Travel. Experience. Know who you are and stand by it but be willing to adjust as your experience and environment dictates. Yes, this is somewhat paradoxical.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed a few times and it's always been an interesting and worthwhile experience. Never hosted, but people tend to not want to hang out in the middle of nowhere. But if you're up for it and I'm in town, I'm game.

I met some amazing people in the Pacific Northwest and in Québec. It's really just incredible how CS lets you get to know people and have experiences you would never otherwise meet/do.

Wanting to try this all again.

Interests

I love meeting new people, discovering new cultures, learning new things....

Oh and drinking coffee and local brews. Yes.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy learning about new music. I listen to a lot, but could not narrow down my taste even if I had to try. If it is quality music, no matter what genre, I'll probably enjoy it.

I enjoy movies, but I'm awful at quoting them.

I used to hate non-fiction and somehow as I've gotten older I tend to steer towards non-fiction and the classics that I was too lazy to finish reading in high school.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Umm...not sure what's amazing.

I've been to all but 2 US States.

I've eaten a fish eye (and many other interesting foods...)

I am sure there are more, but not sure how 'amazing' they really are....

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a little about a lot. I'm willing to share any of my experiences from foreign languages to how to enjoy getting lost in town. There's nothing specific that I would like to learn. Anything and everything. I'm an information sponge.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Cambodia, Canada, England, Fiji, France, Germany, Haiti, Italy, Morocco, Qatar, Scotland, Switzerland, Thailand, Viet Nam
