Overview
About Me
Hello everyone! I'm Matteo and I'm a college student from Locarno, Ticino, Switzerland. I love to travel and to get to know new cultures and traditions, and I also like to learn new languages (I speak Italian, English and French). I love to work with children and young people, and I’m currently studying to become an elementary school teacher.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I'm open to meet new people and willing to travel a lot MORE than how I'm doing at the moment (I've never been outside Europe for now, but I plan to visit as many countries as I can in my lifetime)
Interests
I love to read (especially sci-fi and fantasy movies), my favorite fantasy writer is Ursula K. Le Guin. I'm interest in history, philosophy, sociology and psychology, and I act in theater (or at least I did, for 8 years). I like to read english classics too (Orwell, Bradbury, Tolkien, Dickens and Hemingway in particular). When I was a kid I was fascinated by scale models and relief maps (I also wanted to be a meteorologist), but now this early passion is kind of fading away. I’m not a very sportive type, but I do like to watch ice-hockey, and I sometimes ski or ice-skate (so mainly winter sports).
