About Me

CURRENT MISSION

From Vietnam to Italy overland

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in beautiful Italy then one sunny day (a loooong time ago) I started living abroad and it all went downhill form there! I lived here and there and after the last two years spent in Melbourne I've decided to eventually go back to Italy, slowly...

PHILOSOPHY

Make other people happy to build up your own good karma

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I opened my profile whilst travelling in Japan a few years ago to meet English speaking people, then it sat quiet for a while until a friend of mine told me that CS was a good tool to meet interesting people in your home town and I got engaged again hosting and taking part to CS events.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great great great, always met very nice people both as guest or host! Will continue as it's the best way to get direct access to another culture without language barriers.

Interests

"A jack of all trades is a master of none"

In the past I've been:

- a commited rollerblader (if you make fun of this once great sport I'll have to kill you)
- an enthusiast kitesurfer
- a piano player (well, I was nine, does that count?)
- a model (ahah funny story yet true!)
- a climber
- a swimmer
- a gymnast (kind of...)
- a dry-Grey-Goose-martini-with-three-olives drinker
- a wannabe snowboarder
- an engineer and a career man
- a diver
- a bulimic reader
- a coffee snob
- a food lover
- part of many bars' furniture

but these days I'm travelling and I don't have a lot of time for all of this so I'm just concentrating on taking pictures, blogging and doing yoga whenever I'm by myself. And being curious.

I don't like:

- television and plastic
- bad manners
- people that can't speak (stop saying "like" every three seconds please)
- nail cutters

Music, Movies, and Books

Don't even try to contact me if your favourite book is the Alchemist, we can't be friends.
Oddly enough the three movies I love the most are B/W:
- Zelig
- Dr. Strangelove
- Citizen Kane

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving in India.
On a motorbike.
For a few months.
And surviving.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:

Basic photography
Fake sneezes (this will make me famous one day)
Italian (no, I won't teach you swearwords)
French

Learn

Everything, but coming in contact with other CS and see how they live is the biggest teaching.

Share

My growing mp3 collection, a (i.e. several) beer and if I'm in a good mood I can show off my cooking skills.
