ABOUT ME

I grew up and went through college working on a farm, so I know what real work is, and try my best to avoid it. I still have a good work ethic, but I try to only work in areas I have a passion for. I also try to allocate as much time for myself and my family as possible. I enjoy getting dirty, fresh snow, solitude, and good people. I try to get my hands into about anything that comes along and am willing to try anything once. I believe a person can learn indefinitely from all experiences/people, and I am always anxious to learn something new.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By offering my home to travelers, and I have surfed a few couches too. I also enjoy meeting travelers and can offer guests a plethora of local knowledge that you can't get from a Holiday Inn.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have always been hospitable and ready to meet new friends; I've hosted a bit and surfed a bit, too. Before I joined CS, I have made friends, stayed with friends of friends, and have found gracious hosts in all corners of this continent and I have offered my house/yard likewise. Through CS I have made many friends from all over the world and learned their stories. I really enjoy hearing about places I haven't been from people who have and have been inspired to go to destinations I previously would not have thought about.

Interests

I guess becoming a father is probably the most amazing thing I've ever done, and most of what I've seen amazes me in some way or another.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a decent handle on good places to go in southwest Montana. I have driven in all the countries I've visited and can share information about car rental, foreign road tripping and camping. Lucy and I can cook pretty decent food from a few corners of the globe.
