ABOUT ME

Just the other day I thought 'what an interesting life this has become.' I couldnt be happier. I am 28 and for the last couple of years I have been a traveling emergency room trauma nurse. I have been to Minnesota, Haiti twice, kenya twice, Kauai for almost a year and now I am floating around the Mediterranean Sea woking on a cruise ship as the nurse. Its an interesting life getting paid to travel and go to all these crazy places.

While in Kauai I hosted multiple people and became friends with several. When this cruise gig is over I am going to Slovakia to hang out with a couple that crashed on my couch in Kauai.

PHILOSOPHY

Ive known too many people that have died too young to waste my life not living. I live for those family members and friends of mine that cant.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to meet as many interesting people in this world. I think that being hosted is amazing but being able to host someone and show them what your little corner of the world has to offer is the coolest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a life long couch surfer. I have stayed on hundreds of friends and relatives couches. I have woken up on strange couches and had strangers wake up on mine. I started out couch surfing in longview Wa for work. Ended up moving in for 2 years. On a road trip to Texas I couch surfed in Salt Lake city for a night and had a wonderful time. Then I surfed in Baltimore and got way too drunk but had a blast.

In Kauai I hosted around 12 people and enjoyed each of them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a medical mission to Oyugus Kenya. This was a trip of a life time 2 weeks of treating diseases and parasites that I have never dreamed of seeing. I broke down one day and cried like I never have before, a true life changing moment. I also went to Haiti after the earthquake for two weeks treating the wounded and dying. Then I went back to Kenya in October 2010 for another 2 week medical mission.

I went to Australia for three months and got my trapping liscence and trapped bats and studied them in the mountains. I expereinced the great barrier reef and then saw thousands of fruit bats desend on Cairnes like somthing out of Indiana Jones. I got lost in the outback and thought I was going to die. I have seen all the south island of New Zealand and hiked a glacier with shorts on. I bunji jumped. I flew to England on a whim to see a freind but didnt know where she was staying and it took 3 days to find her. I saw all of france with my best friend before he joined the marines.

Living in Kauai for a year was AMAZING!
I have been on incredible adventures in the northwest hiking on Mt St Helens and white water rafting the WHite Salmon river. I get to save lives in the ER. I have seen some crazy things in my life.

I hiked around Peru for a month with my friend and of course went to Machu Picchu. We also hiked the highest sand dune in the world then sandboarded down it. We swam in the Amazon, ziplined, white water rafted and sandboarded a couple different places.

Working on the cruis ship that goes from Barcelona to Naples to Rome to Tuscany to Cannes France to Marseille and repeat

Teach- love yourself and be the one that stays in contact with others.
Learn- I want to learn as much as from others expereinces as possile. I also want to learn how to let go
