About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Taste The World

Summer 2016: Abu Dhabi, Kenya, Uganda, Kuala Lumpur

ABOUT ME

I'm Matt! Experience of 30 countries, humbleness of the Midwest.

In March of 2013 I quit my corporate job in the city of Chicago, Illinois, USA and traveled to Europe in search of something new. 10 months, 16 countries, and over 21,000 miles, I've found myself, and my passion for travel.

Back in the States now, I am an educator and completing my law degree.

Let's experience something new together.

Travel Style:

Let's begin the day by getting up early and heading to the local farmers' market. There we will get a taste of the local food culture. We will network with locals and allow them to guide our agenda for the day. Tripe truck for lunch, yes please. Local musician playing, we're there. At night time we'll head to the clubs, and party all night long, only until we begin again the next day. Sails to the wind, our travel is without a plan.

It's not the pictures you take, but the stories you make, which are your definition.

Visited 35 United States (70%)
Visited 30 Countries (11%)

PHILOSOPHY

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quitting my corporate job to travel the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

Travel, the greatest medium for education. As an educator and student of food (gastronomy), I would like to meet those who appreciate food. This means cooks, writers, hospitalitarians, or just people who love to eat.

Fall 2018 I begin the adventure that is law school.

If you host me I'd be willing to cook, and likewise if you are a guest in my home. Food is a tool for discussion.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Belize, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, Netherlands, Palestine, Panama, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, San Marino, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United States, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In
