Hey! My name is Matthew.
I'm from Orange County, California.
I'm an artist, musician, singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur.
I grew up playing in bands, and living all over North America.
I'm currently working on a Masters in Communications Marketing, working for Disney, and recording, filming, and producing records for artists and businesses here in California.
Along side my work, I've also volunteered for a non-profit organization which houses bands who are on tour, similar to Couchsurfing, but for traveling musicians. With that being said, I have good manners about me because of my experience doing so!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to see new places and meet new faces. My hope is that in doing so, I can hear and share stories with people all over the world. Lately I've been interested in documenting my travels through film and photography, and hope to do so in the near future. A few years ago, I stopped touring with bands to continue in my education and career here at home, but I've missed traveling, so I'm here seeking adventure.

I listen to a wide variety of music.
From hardcore/metal to show tunes and electronic, and many things in between.
My favorites lately have been alternative and pop.
Most of the music that I play as an artist would be considered rock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I've done was:
Play a song on stage with Shania Twain at the Air Canada Center in front of 25,000 people.
Definitely a memory that will last a lifetime.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe that everyone from all walks of life has something to teach, learn, and share.
I especially love the idea of learning from others, and sharing life stories over a drink and a view.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm willing to share kindness, stories, and even my songs with hosts.
Upon request, I can bring some of my merchandise (CDs) with me and will gladly leave a few copies with each host. I'm also willing to film or take photos upon request depending on my time restraints of my travels.
