About Me

I'm just about to start travelling round South America but I'm currently working in a Neopolitan Pizza place in Oxford. I finished studying a degree in Geography in Leeds (UK) and worked in a primary school for a year afterward.

I have a big, modern family (an older brother, 3 half brothers and 1 half sister).

I think people would describe me as kind, curious and fun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting people!

Cities can be completely transformed if you are staying with a local. The best time's I've had in different cities have been with a local tour guide.

Interests

I love...
- Food. I love good food and cooking. I like experimenting with food from all over the world and learn new dishes (Italian is my favourite..)
- Go to flea markets, charity shops and vintage shops - I love that excitement and personal nature of shopping somewhere that isn't a big chain or in a mall
- Playing sport, I love football, tennis and squash (surfing and skiing when i can)
- Nature, the buzz of cities is great but I also need to get a slower pace of life. Being in the mountains, by the sea or surrounded by green is never fails to relax me and put a smile on my face

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, Disco, rock, afrobeat, reggae, bossa nova, house, jazz, hip hop, soul (if it's good i like it!).

Films, I like everything from tarantino films to pixar films.

Books, I like reading fictional novels. Some of my favourite authors are Cormac Mcarthy, Murakami and Zora Neale Hurston.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I grew up in Georgia and Georgian was my first language, my dad worked as a journalist and during the Chechen war my family was based there.

What I Can Share with Hosts

- I'm working as a chef so I can certainly cook everyone some food!
- I love meeting people and their friends but I am also happy to give people space when they need it, I'm happy to be independent
- I'm tidy and considerate to other people's needs
- If you would like to cook and eat together I'd be more than happy to buy groceries, it's the least I could do!

Countries I’ve Lived In

Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russian Federation
