Hey! I'm Matthew, and I am a 28 year-old singer/songwriter from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I love travelling and meeting new people along the way.

I'm currently road tripping from Nashville to Los Angeles, and looking for people to stay with along the way!

I've lived in Montreal my whole life, except for 5 months when I studied abroad in Sydney, Australia.

I studied finance at McGill University, but absolutely hated it. So when I graduated, I decided that it was time to do things I actually like! So I signed up for improv comedy classes, and evolved my little hobby of writing songs into something more serious. I got a job in finance out of school, and last year finally took the plunge into music full-time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first used Couchsurfing in September 2018 when I did a road trip from Montreal to Los Angeles, and again in March 2018 when I drove from Vancouver to Nashville! I so enjoyed the experiences of meeting new people in various cities. Hoping to keep it going on this next road trip :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2017, I travelled to Nicaragua with a group of young adults to build homes.

In 2010, I moved to Sydney, Australia for 5 months for a semester of university abroad. I travelled the whole east coast of Australia, and skydived along the way above Mission Beach. I also travelled the south island of New Zealand, where I bungee jumped off the highest bungee site in the country. I loved skydiving, and would definitely do it again. I think my bungee jumping career is over though. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I meditate every morning, and would love to find someone who does as well, OR someone who'd like to give it a try. Perfectly fine if not though!
