About Me
I'm currently an ALT on the JET Program. I'm in Niigata until the end of July!
I always used to regret not living in the future, because of all the knowledge and technology that humans will have in the future that we don't have now.
Then I read a science fiction short story about a guy that met an interdimensional traveler. The interdimensional traveler said he had had a huge wanderlust when he was the guy's age. Now he had visited untold countless numbers of universes and seen things strange and wondrous beyond belief. But he would never, ever, be able to find his way back to his home universe ... only to somewhat similar, but different universes. He enormously regretted his decision. When he was a young man he was so eager to see other universes, when he barely even knew his own Earth.
After reading that story, I no longer regretted not living in the future. Rather than regretting what I can't do and where I can't go I will revel in and appreciate what I can do and where I can go.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I see myself not as a citizen of my country but as a citizen of the world. Thus traveling the world for me is like exploring my own house. Who doesn't know their own house?
Couchsurfing not only makes traveling affordable on a small budget, it is also an unparalleled opportunity to meet like-minded, interesting, open, adventurous and hospitable people and make friends.
