About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Since I started travelling I have heard a lot of stories about Couchsurfing. Some were amazing, others were pretty awkward. I have always travelled by sleeping in hostels. When living in Canada and Vietnam we had a couple of friends stay on our couch as they were passing through and it was cool to be able to give them a "home" for a few days and show them the best spots in town. People would visit for a weekend or a few days (...or longer) and we would always end our time together feeling grateful.
Now I am travelling to South America. This has been a dream of mine since I started my travels. Now that it is here, I want to make the most of the opportunity by meeting locals and getting to know the region. I have been learning Spanish for the last few years and am pretty confident in my skills but want to speak as much as possible.
I play the guitar and am learning to sing. I hope to meet as many musicians and creative people in South America as I can. I hope that we can share our skills (whatever they are) and learn from each other. I love to teach and play with anyone. This is how I learned and I feel that I should help anyone who wants to do the same.
So this is why I am Couchsurfing - to meet interesting people, make a connection, speak Spanish, play music and have some cool experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I like all styles. I prefer live music played by musicians rather than a DJ.
Movies: I don't watch a lot of movies any more. Sometimes I watch a documentary.
Books: I read often, mostly non-fiction. I love to learn about the world, science, language, psychology etc through books.
Countries I’ve Lived In
Australia, Canada, Ireland, Viet Nam
