Overview
About Me
I’m an easy-going solo traveller who firmly believes that the best way to experience a new city is through the eyes of the people who live there. I’ve spent a fair amount of time exploring different corners of the globe, and those experiences taught me that a shared story over a drink or a meal is worth more than any guidebook.
When I’m not planning my next trip, I’m enjoying the coastal life here in Worthing. I love meeting people from all walks of life, swapping travel tips, and hearing about the adventures that shaped them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’ve spent a lot of time on the road, but recently I hosted a friend I’d met while travelling and we had a great time. It reminded me that the best part of travel is usually the people you meet along the way.
I’ve joined the community to connect with like-minded travellers and locals. I’m looking forward to sharing some good stories, having a few laughs, and seeing where the next adventure leads.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I’m mostly into Heavy Metal—the heavier and more technical, the better. I don’t usually bore people with it unless they’re already into the same stuff, but I’m always down to check out a local dive bar if there’s a good scene.
Books & Films:
I’m a big fan of George R.R. Martin—I like stories where the world feels gritty and things actually go wrong for the characters. I read a lot of survival stories and non-fiction about expeditions; there’s something fascinating about how people handle extreme situations. Movie-wise, I usually go for anything tense or realistically told.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I made it to Antarctica! It turns out that hanging out with thousands of penguins is the ultimate cure for "real world" stress. If you want to hear about what it’s like to take a polar plunge in sub-zero water (and immediately regret it), just ask.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
I’ve been to 40+ countries, so I’m pretty handy with travel logistics, packing for weird climates, and not getting ripped off at borders. I can also help you with English if you’re looking to pick up some more natural slang or just want to chat.
Learn:
I’m always up for learning a local recipe—anything hearty that I can actually recreate later. I also love hearing about the "survival" history of a place—the stories of how the city or the locals have toughed it out through the years.
Share:
Plenty of stories from the road, including what it’s actually like to get to Antarctica and survive the Drake Passage. I’m a very easy-going guest; I’m tidy, I don't take up much space, and I’m always happy to help with the washing up or any heavy lifting around the house.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m a very low-maintenance guest. I’m happy to help out with some cleaning or chores around the place to earn my keep—I’m not the type to just leave my bags and disappear. I'm always up for a good conversation and, depending on how much sleep I've had, I can be quite funny. Mostly, I just bring a bit of good energy and some decent stories from the road.
