About Me

I am a student currently studying Mechanical Engineering in the University of Bath. I am originally from Malaysia, where I grew up and lived for most of my life. I recently moved to the United Kingdom to further my studies, and this is actually the first time I have come to Europe! Thus, I would love to explore Europe and learn about its rich culture and history. You can find me on Facebook if you would like to know me better.

I may be young, but I am eager to learn more about the world, from people all over the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet locals while I am travelling so I can learn more about their culture, history, and anything else there is to know! Of course, I would also like to learn about their experiences and maybe share some of my own.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a large variety of music, but I usually stick to indie rock or indie pop.

I enjoy movies that have good story lines or movies that challenge the movie watcher to think!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On my gap year, I worked for a social enterprise in Malaysia called EPIC Homes. EPIC builds houses for underprivileged indigenous people using a volunteer system. I worked for them for about 7 months, handling the procurement and logistics of tools and materials, while also taking part in the building of 9 houses!

I also went on a 10 week expedition with Raleigh International in Borneo. On the expedition, I helped to build a gravity water feed system in a rural village. I also helped to lay the foundation for one side of a suspension bridge in the Imbak Canyon forest reserve.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Knowledge about Malaysian culture, the places I have visited, and of course all my personal travelling experience.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, United States
