Hey, I’m Matthew! 29 years old, US-born, Portuguese-raised, and a bit of everywhere in between. 🌍

I’ve lived all over: froze in Canadian winters, got stuck in Romania during the pandemic, soaked up downtown Lisbon’s chaos, wandered Prague’s beautiful streets, and now I’m in Berlin working in music rights. If you like any kind of music, we’re already friends. 🎶

I enjoy the unexpected - new places, new people, and getting a little uncomfortable in the best way. Some of my best adventures: teaching English in China, solo exploring in Turkey, and dancing my way through Rio’s Carnaval. What made all of these experiences so special? The people I shared them with.

I’m into music, nature, film, outdoor sports and most likely one of your hobbies, too!

This year, I’m taking 4 months off to bikepack the Andes and Altiplano, explore the Amazon, and cycle across Japan from Tokyo to Kyushu. Yes, bikepacking = backpacking on a bike 🚲. Wanna join?

I’m not here just for a free couch - I’m here to meet nice and honest people. I love sharing stories, seeing the world through a local’s eyes, and being reminded how much there’s still to learn. I honestly believe 99.9999% of people are good - we just need to step out of our bubble and talk to each other.
