I grew up in the Chicago area and go to university full time at Kansas State University, where I study computer science. Currently I am studying abroad north of London for the spring of 2020. I have really enjoyed getting to know people from different cultures and I can't wait to explore more parts of the world and the local culture there!

My main hobby is running, and I find it’s a great way to explore new places and enjoy the beauty of nature! I have run in two marathons so far and I'm registered for a third in April 2020. I also really enjoy most other sports and outdoor activities.

Random fun fact: I eat oatmeal almost every day and I love trying out new recipes and ingredients.
I also used to be a really picky eater growing up but now I'm making up for it and am really eager to try new foods, especially if they are part of the local culture wherever I'm visiting!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I mentioned in my "About Me" section, I'm studying abroad north of London during the spring of 2020, and I’ll be traveling around Europe a bit. I’d like to meet locals to immerse myself in the culture wherever I'm visiting! I find it's much more meaningful to be able to engage with locals and get to know the city on a deeper level than just seeing the touristy spots (although those can be really cool too).
