About Me
I got my first taste of Couchsurfing through my roommate, who has hosted and surfed extensively, and immediately fell in love with it! Since then I've had the opportunity to host a dozen or so wonderful people, all of whom, in their own way, nudged me a little closer to the big decision: quit my moderately-successful and mind-numbing desk job, leave behind any non-essentials, and embark on an adventure to parts unknown.
My professional history varies from running experiments in a lab to running a vegan food stand at music festivals. Most of the time I'm not at work is split between cooking, eating, climbing, yoga, meditation, eating, cooking, eating, hiking, cycling, eating, reading, occasionally binge watching sci-fi shows, cooking... you get it (let's cook together!). I like to think of myself as friendly and open to new experiences. Meditation and mindfulness play an important role in my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To challenge myself and how I perceive people. To share how I experience the beautiful community I live in. To get to know you. To have fun!

Teach, Learn, Share
Naked mole-rats live to be 30 years old, don't have the capacity to feel pain, are highly resistant to cancer, are the only eusocial mammals (that's the same structure as ants and bees), and are the only mammals who lack temperature regulation (think "cold-blooded"). They're also ugly as sin. Who knew?
