I graduated spring 2014 from FSU with a MA in philosophy. I turned down the opportunity to continue on through the PhD program, moved from Florida to Portland, ME, and am currently pursuing a career in software engineering.

My wife, Allie and I love experiencing new places and meeting new people. We love wandering and seeing what we can see, and would prefer to really get a feel for a place to seeing every tourist landmark.

Travel has always been on our agenda but can be so ridiculously expensive! Couchsurfing seems like a great way to cut costs, and we love the idea of bringing back hospitality culture!

Me and my wife want to explore on our own some of the time, but we also love to meet new people and do things with them.

If we ever have the ability we'd also love to host people up here in Portland. It is a great city with an amazing food scene (more resteraunts per capita than any other US city!), and great access to scenic New England hotspots.

Designed a Biomedical Research Ethics class under grant at FSU for biomedical graduate students to fulfill the NSF ethics education requirement needed to conduct research.
