I'm a native of Knoxville, Tennessee and grew up spending a lot of time on the lake and in the mountains. My biggest passions are skiing and surfing; I have a dream to ski every continent and become a Red Bull-sponsored wakesurfer.

I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and everything outdoors. I believe very strongly in community and I love meeting new people. I have backpacked across the Scottish Highlands, the Swiss Alps, the Mexican Sierra Madre, the heights of Yosemite, and my own beautiful Appalachian Mountains.

I participated in foreign exchange programs in France and Chile, so I'm no stranger to staying with new people for the first time!

Movies - Inception and Interstellar are two of my favorites, as well as anything Tarantino (he was born in my hometown!)

Books - When Breath Becomes Air is my favorite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Machu Picchu exactly 40 years after my dad did.
Got lost in the Atacama desert and found a beautiful mountain.
Slid down a glacier in the Pyrenees on top of my backpack.
Rode a camel through the Sahara.
Climbed Coma Pedrosa, the tallest mountain in Andorra.
Was welcomed into an abandoned 400 year old church in Porto, Portugal at 1am when I had no place to sleep.
Celebrated Bastille Day in Toulouse, France
