Hi Fellow Explorers!

I'm Matthew, a Fine Art student in London. I was studying/working in Singapore, and decided one day to just up and leave. I'm on a quest to travel the world! I hope to be inspired by the places I see and the people I met and translate them into art.

I work with many different types of media. I draw sometimes, paint sometimes, sculpt, dance a lot, sing, and let life take it's own course! *Some Pics of Work in Photos!*

I'm a keen learner of culture, language and history. So sitting on the beach is only good for me for a day, then I need my lost ancient temples, galleries, gardens etc. It's hard to keep up with everything but I still am always curious. I want to question relentlessly, to challenge respectfully and to live deliberately.

I am also a lover of collaboration as I believe they create the best outcomes. Even if you are an engineer, banker, scientist, accountant, philosopher, we are sure to find common ground for creation. Lets make some world-changing stuff together!

I'm new to couch surfing, and I really hope with some time I can build trust with the community here ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people, explore new places, and collect stories! This inspires my life and work. I hope through couch surfing I can build potentially lifelong relationships with the amazing people of the world !

I hope to eventually make my travel my entire life. The best thing would be to just move around and make art all the time. I need the help of the CS community to make this dream come true!

I've done a little bit of everything in the arts, dancing for the better part of 5 years, singing for 2 years, and now in fine arts. I am recently aiming to direct my energy towards cause driven work, be it art or social enterprise.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently, I spent 5 days in Belgium walking. No referring to any map or signboard. Just walked and walked! The experience was amazing.

A little bit of visual arts i.e. programmes like photoshop, illustrator

A bit of dancing, mainly latin ballroom and hip hop. I would love to try contact improvisation and other experimental art forms! Would also love to collaborate!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My stories, my experiences, my networks and hopefully somewhere down the road (when I have my own place) my couch! I would love to give back, sadly at this point I don't own my apartment :(

I'd also be more than happy to help out in the places that can host me. I believe in working for people's trust :)
