About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Diggin' 'aht coal all day!
ABOUT ME
They might say that I am a person who is always wandering off to strange places, is rather a good occasional comedic writer/photoshopper, has an unhealthy obsession with industrial heritage, tower blocks, transport planning and under-appreciated places, and is a tad cynical and contrarian.
PHILOSOPHY
I am an honest man, I've got honest beliefs. I am true to myself, I'm true to everybody else, and I am true to God.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I slept on Bron's couch once? Eventually. Slept on Damian's spare bed in Rotterdam as well. Slept on couches and beds in Dortmund, Enschede, Schiedam, Cardiff, Glasgow, Hong Kong, Bristol, Munich, 's-Hertogenbosch, Breda, Arnhem, Almere, Växjö and Moscow since. And I've even been to meetings in Rotterdam, Dortmund, Gent, Leiden, Den Haag and Tilburg. That's how dedicated I am.
Interests
I wander off to new or familiar places that consist of things which I find pleasing such as old industrial buildings, large blocks of flats, flat countryside, waterfalls, mountains, moors, midges, trams, Dutch cycling infrastructure, forests, fields, pubs, and what have you. I occasionally write amusing parodies or poems.

Music, Movies, and Books
Razorwire is a grubby publication by Geoff Leonard. He has written more than a dozen books which can be found in two of the most renowned libraries in Australia: the National Library in Canberra, and the State Library of New South Wales.
Geoffrey Leonard remixes are usually bangin choons. Otherwise a bit of Best Among Ruins usually sends me to sleep. Can't beat a bit of Bob Dylan or Ian Dury. Maybe some Mogwai or Boards of Canada or the Beta Band when driving past some Glaswegian Multi-Storeys or moors. MC Pitman! AZIS! Florin Salam! Drugbender! Cibo Matto! Butter 08!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first time I approached the Maasvlakte by sea. The first time I rode along the M8 through Glasgow. The first time I saw a certain couple of mills in Leeds/Bradford/Oldham and many more places. The first time I approached Halifax from Stump Cross. The first time I saw Boston Stump looming up ahead. The first time I sailed down the Humber at night on route to the Maasvlakte. The first time I saw the industrial landscapes around the Tees estuary at night. The first time I entered the Barley Corn or the Blue Bell. Shaking hands with Florin Salam.
