Hi there, Matt here.

I grew up on a small farm in Teton Valley, Idaho. I cherished this upbringing as I skied every weekend and enjoyed romping around in the mountains.

After moving to-and-fo larger cities like Los Angeles and San Fransisco I eventually planted my roots in Portland, Oregon.

Here I started a small hostel by renovating an old Victorian home. I live in the back of the lot in the tiny house that I build, just for me :)

I have an online-based business (intentioninspired.com) that allows me to work from anywhere in the world with flexible hours to ensure everything is well tended to wherever I am.

I have an innate love for animals and fondness for plants of all kinds, humans are a close third ;)

I am also eager to learn from others and be of service in any way I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently, I’m exploring the magic of life on the road. Driven only by my curiosity to see what’s on other side of the mountain, test the limits and meet all sorts of interesting people along the way; some of which are now dear friends. Much of my direction is influenced by those who influence me. So thank you for all the welcoming couchsurfers!

I’m fascinated how people have become who they are. Life’s wisdom is ripe when learning of people’s stories.

I enjoy new experiences and will ski and surf any day of the week.
