ABOUT ME

Matthew: I am a rather amiable fellow. I am of the opinion that every person has something unique to offer to you. I find that to travel is the best way to experience the world. People have as equal an effect on what defines culture as it's geography. To meet new people, in some sense, in itself, is to travel. I enjoy debating, even to the extent of having my own perspective challenged, but am easy to get along with. I'm an avid learner, hoping to better myself in whatever way may present itself.

Christina: 24. I am a pretty genuine person. I am a lover of the arts and have a passion for photography. I have an adventurous soul that constantly aches to explore and photograph everything beautiful the world offers. My happy place is on top of a mountain overlooking this gorgeous place we call Earth. I have a shy nature, but will open up pretty easily to those who welcome me. I am a fun loving person who I know you can connect with. I love vintage, outdated things. I love old records, old music, old styles. A couple of my favorite hobbies involve thrifting and finding new and unheard music. I am an avid music listener and enjoy a variety of sounds. Watching and listening to live music gives me a feeling that most things in life cannot beat.

PHILOSOPHY

I feel that we are all adventurers of the world, and that every creature should treat life as such and ensure to the best of their ability that every being experiences the world in such a way. Life is truly a more positive experience if we let the freshness of each moment more fully envelop us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My girlfriend Christina and I have couchsurfed once together as guests as of yet. We both agree that this network has the potential to make travel much more exciting and personal after our positive experience with our host Rocio in Atlanta. Should the right circumstances arise, I would be interested in returning the favor to the community by hosting others soon.

Interessen

I am an avid music listener: a definite sucker for live music of all sorts. I love anything that really gets my body moving: be it backpacking, frisbee, yoga, or bicycling. Food is something that has caught my interest lately: i enjoy eating out as well as cooking, utilizing as many organic options as possible. I am quite the proponent of coffee culture: I frequent local coffee shops often, and really appreciate opportunity of getting to know the passing faces that my town invites. Class occupies much of my time: currently focused on learning about spanish, chemistry, and film.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Rather quickly (I intend on filling more of this out):
1) Hiking alone on the appalachian trail. Such a great experience to experience such solitude in the woods.
2) Seeing the view from Macafee Knob (Also an appalachian trail experience). Nature can be so inspiring.
3) Flying over the gorgeous mountains of Asheville, NC in a hot air balloon with my lovely girlfriend.
