About Me
CURRENT MISSION
learn Spanish, save money, make music, help my dad restore his '69 Chevelle, and then hike the Continental Divide Trail this summer.
ABOUT ME
I am extroverted but not loud, I am energetic about things I am passionate about, I am thoughtful and kind, I like to joke around but I really enjoy deep conversation.
PHILOSOPHY
Just do your thing, man.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host and I travel. I have also been to many community events in Portland.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed with 3 different people in Portland when I moved there and I hosted once while living in Portland.
Now I live in a house where we host surfer's now and again. Actually my roommate Bobby was a surfer here!
Interests
I spend most of my free time hanging out with friends, biking around town, exploring Portland, hiking, making food and sharing it with friends (or just eating it myself), reading fantasy novels, or watching HBO tv shows.
When I am at work (painting) I listen to music and recently I have started listening to audiobooks.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy a variety of music, but my favorites are Wu-Tang, Neil Young, and Godspeed. Other than that I mainly listen to 90's hip hop or various instrumental, modern classical, and electronic artists, with some metal thrown in for good measure.
For books, I mainly read fantasy. I love Tolkien, I am currently reading A Song of Ice and Fire by George R R Martin and loving it, and I enjoy R. A. Salvatore's stuff.
I like a lot of movies but don't end up watching too many. My favorites include Hero, Snatch, The Big Lebowski, The Shawshank Redemption, Unbreakable and The Lion King. I also like movies that are just really fascinating to watch, like The Fountain or Children of Men.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
"This summer I visited Yosemite National Park. It was amazing. I have always loved hiking and nature, but I have never been backpacking before. After seeing Yosemite I have decided to take up backpacking. I want to return next year to spend a fortnight in the wilderness." - My old self when I signed up for this site.
By now I have hiked the whole AT and am planning on doing the CDT this summer!!!
