ABOUT ME
Lucky, nice guy with good family and friends. A good job and a nice enough place in a great location. Crappy Car. Well educated, professional. Needs to lose a few kilos. Talks too much. Knows how to party sometimes. A bit lazy. Always helps out if possible. Able to sleep in impossible, nay any situation after 8pm (rofl). A bit impatient sometimes. Seems to know a lot of people. Questionable sense of fashion on occasion but generally pretty conservative. Spent too much time at Uni. Loved Uni.
PHILOSOPHY
It would be so nice to be able to come up with a label...
A debt to the past and a responsibility to the future with a healthy respect for lady luck?
I do believe there is a pretty much 'universal' etiquette when visiting someone's home or hosting them in your own.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am able to offer a couch and participate in local events, especially bbqs/parties, nights out, daytrips and camping trips, maybe even interstate travel too. I hope to be able to help people enjoy themselves a little more while visiting my home town.
One thing I will say is that if you think CS is just about getting free accommodation, then please don't contact me. If you think CS is about sharing - homes, meals, cultures, experiences, friendship - then please do contact me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed couches in Germany and I was so nicely surprised. I am lucky to have many friends to stay with when I travel so I have only surfed couches a little. I was a bit afraid at first but our host was a really lovely guy and made my stay better.
Interests
I really enjoy sports and outdoors activities as well as socialising at pubs and restaurants and going to parties. I used to play a lot of sport, but now have more spare time to spend camping and travelling. My favourite activities are snow skiing and scuba/snorkeling as well as most things to do with camping like hiking, swimming, surfing etc. I can always be convinced to go camping to my favourite places like Innes National Park, Wilpena Pound, Kangaroo Island or even Uluru! I am also still always up for a hit of tennis or cricket or golf or a kick of the football too. I was blessed with a father who loves all things wine, so while I don't quite share the passion I do enjoy a trip to the local vineyards, especially the Barossa for shiraz, or McLaren Vale to mix a nice drive, wine, lunch and the beach. At the end of the day I love to have a beer with a friend or neighbour on the front porch, especially if the weather is nice.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite Book - Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy: A Trilogy in Four Parts.
Favourite Movie - so tough, but the Blues Brothers is still good.
Favourite Music - Empire of the Sun, MGMT, but will have to remember to change this when necessary...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1. Snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef for the first time. Since then I have obtained a PADI license and done scuba, but I'll never forget just snorkeling around the Whitsunday Islands.
2. Skiing deep snow for the first time. Instantly addicted.
3. Camping in Australia, just too many great memories - sunshine, surfing, the perfect swimming spot, magic views and scenery, sunsets, romantic sunsets etc
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach people how to play tennis, about history and about science sometimes.
I would love to learn about how people think in different parts of the world.
I enjoy sharing experiences with others - CS, travel, work, family, life - as well as sharing views on current events and the future.
