I like long walks on the beach, home cooked dinners, playing with puppies, and listening to rain on my balcony. All true facts. I really do like dogs. Good dogs are my favorite animals. But I love all animals. Lemurs are pretty great.

In all seriousness, I love the ocean and anything to do with it. Sailing, surfing, snorkeling, and swimming are my most favorite activities and I could easily spend all day at the beach. I've been working in the maritime industry on anything from yachts to tugs to tall ships since 2001. It is my dream to one day have my own boat and sail around the world; a dream my girlfriend, Sarah Renee, and I are currently working towards together.

Other things I enjoy doing is cruising around my bike with my boom box. I love music and going to music festivals. I really enjoy jam bands, but will listen to just about anything, as long as it's good.

One thing to note is that I am not always home. I work for a tug company with a two week on and two week off schedule. So if I am not available to host, you can always check with my girlfriend.

I love music. It is one of the most important things in my life. Some of my favorite bands are Phish, Grateful Dead, My Morning Jacket, The Violent Femmes, Beastie Boys, Les Claypool, Nahko Medicine for the People, Rising Appalachia, The Nth Power, John Zorn, and Linda Carlisle.

Favorite movie: "The Fastest Indian", "Fast Times at Ridgemont High", "Fast Food Nation", "Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!".
Not favorite movie: "Fast and the Furious".

For books I like shop manuals, technical books, snorkeling instructional, and Descartes. Oh yeah, and the "Tao of Pooh" and "The Te of Piglet".
