In the nearest future, my mission is to help my loved one on her next big step toward a PhD. And then move to California. And then find a place to live in California. I think I got that order right...

ABOUT ME

Self-description is difficult. I suppose that says something about me right there. I am shy, outgoing, a planner, impulsive, intelligent, down to earth, fancy, base, funny, serious, aloof, caring. All based on (or in spite of) the situation. I enjoying getting straight to the point, and waxing poetic. On the Insights scale, I am a #28 Inspiring Helper, and while I don't usually go in for canned personality tests, this one was remarkably insightful (no pun intended). If you want to understand me, that may be a good place to start.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I am looking for a place to stay with my girlfriend while we hunt for an apartment, but after we find a place and settle in, our couch will be up for grabs! We have the couch already, just need to find a roof to put it under.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Brand new here, but I've known about CS for years, after one of my good friends used it to help find places across Europe for several months. Most of my personal experience with couchsurfing has been either hosting or impromptu surfing.

In what free time I have, I like to think about what I would do if I had more free time. I try to share time between exploring the outdoors, and diving into late nights of my latest software crush. I enjoy challenges, whether they be a difficult ascent or a perplexing algorithm. I enjoy meeting new people and having quality time with old friends. I enjoy my comforts and routines, but I feel most rewarded when I try new things, and I am willing to try almost anything twice.
