ABOUT ME
I would describe myself as an energetic, fun and ambitious individual, with a highly optimistic and inquisitive outlook on life.
I am a musician as well as a linguist and love discovering new people and new places.
PHILOSOPHY
Vis comme si l'instant le plus important de ta vie était le moment que tu vis maintenant.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I will be hosting as soon as I can! But until then, I aim to contribute to the Couchsurfing community by sharing new and exciting experiences with as many people as I can.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My Couchsurfing experience is still relatively modest but I hope to discover a lot more over the next year or so. I have only heard good things about the Couchsurfing community.
Interests
In my spare time, I enjoy playing guitar and have performed at a number of venues both at home and abroad. Warning: I tend to sing a lot! I also play violin to a high standard. Modern languages are another passion of mine. I speak French fluently having lived in Paris for one year and am currently focusing on German. I enjoy keeping fit and healthy and am always setting myself new challenges.
I follow current affairs somewhat religiously and enjoy constructive debate, particularly with people from different countries and with alternative world-views.

Music, Movies, and Books
I appreciate any artist demonstrating genuine musical talent, whatever the genre. There is nothing I enjoy more than seeing my favourite bands live. You're just as likely to bump into me at a Slipknot gig as at a recital of Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2!
Perhaps surprisingly, my favourite films are 'Atonement' and 'Forest Gump'. Films that leave me feeling emotionally exhausted tend to be my favourites!
The books I enjoy the most are those that encourage me to reassess the way I think about the world. I keep coming back to 'Atlas Shrugged' by Ayn Rand and 'J'aurais préféré vivre' by Thierry Cohen.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are too many to list, but living and working in Paris was definitely a highlight.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have taken part in a number of language exchanges and am very willing to share my knowledge of the English, or indeed French, language. I can also provide guitar lessons and would love to be introduced to some foreign music. My degree was in International Business and French, and I currently study law, so consider these to be my specialist subjects!
