About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To cast away all textbooks, and learn for once through experience!!
ABOUT ME
I just finished my senior year at Boston University, graduating with a degree in English lit. What's next? No, seriously, what's next, I'm asking you because I don't quite know myself. I'd like to travel a bit before applying to graduate school in late fall.
PHILOSOPHY
This is a question that demands an ever-evolving answer.
I have found that life is a negotiation of tensions between yourself and others. Learning from others and teaching yourself, asserting your individuality while being dedicated to family, realizing that otherness and all things foreign may not be so foreign after all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couch hosted more than surfed. I surfed for the first time with my friend Karen when I lived in Dresden. More recently I've hosted with my roommate Chris at our apartment in Boston. We've had mostly German guests, but we look forward to meeting people from all over our great world. We just returned from a week-long trip to Canda's beautiful maritime provinces, and surfed with 3 different hosts, all of whom I would recommend to any traveller making a similar trek. It was a fantastic trip.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing. I spent the best summer of my life working as a forest ranger liason in the Adirondack Mountains, probably my favorite place on earth. I slept in a tent, and was able to hike all day when I wasn't on duty.
