About Me

****Please read my entire profile including the "my home" before submitting any couch request****

CURRENT MISSION
healing

Also.... cultivating and regenerating loving, nurturing, vital relationships with myself, all the people with whom I interact, the entire world and universe and the divine mystery.

ABOUT ME

I am a grateful, silly, loving, singing, conscious and ridiculous hume.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that life can be really simple and beautiful. As my friend Ethan Hughes said "The greatest conspiracy of our time: to get your and others needs met you must kill, injure, poison, enslave and oppress peoples, cultures, species and ecosystems". When we realize that separation is an illusion and we are all connected, sharing and service to others comes naturally. Love your neighbor (I extend "neighbor" to mean all species of animals, plants, even minerals and the entire planet and universe) as yourself.

My life and work is what I call alternative systems, which I define as strategies for meeting human needs, outside the mainstream, dominant systems, which focus on building harmonious, healthy, vital and Loving relationships with ourselves, other people, the entire world and the divine mystery.

Interests

I love food (eating and cooking it), playing soccer, exploring beautiful places and experiencing different cultures and people. I also like to read, meditate, listen to and mix music, movement practice, volunteer, learn, sing, urban forage, forage, hitchhike, bike, yoga, dance, climb trees and so much more. I am interested in making the world a better place and I'm constantly figuring out the best way for me to do that in each moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

10 day silent vipassanna meditation course dhamma.org seriously everyone could benefit from doing this at least once their life.

One experience that sticks out is riding scooters in the Swiss alps and sitting at a cafe in a small mountain town enjoying the local meats and cheese and spirits and the incredible view of the looming mountains.

Another is the 6 weeks I spent in Amagá, Colombia, working on a permaculture farm, teaching english in local schools and learning spanish.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have an interesting set of life experiences. I'd love to share my stories. I've been practicing clear, open, radically honest communication for a couple years now and I'd love to share that. I've been told I'm a great counselor and listener.

I'd like to learn some more practical life skills. I'm especially interested in permaculture, community building and sustainable living.

I could help you practice your english. We could learn about permaculture and regenerative food systems together. I also really want to learn martial arts.
