About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Travel the world and meet people.

ABOUT ME
Chicago expat living and working in Portland, Oregon - trying to make it honest.

PHILOSOPHY
Try to approach every event, interaction, issue with awareness and empathy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
After moving to Portland and taking an extended time away from Couchsurfing, I'm finally in a position where I can host folks again.

I am a staunch, strong supporter of communities like Couchsurfing, Warmshowers (for cyclists) and the like.

It can be a very easy and simple act to open your home to travelers - and a meaningful way to demonstrate respect and humility to one another.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Serial host and surfer in my early 20s. Aside from my first host experience (ask me about it) everyone I've met (hosting or traveling) have been nothing short of incredible, caring individuals.

It is truly amazing what goodwill and faith can accomplish.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not sure it qualifies as amazing, but I have a couple notable items: Hiked the Pacific Crest Trail (2016) and completed a transcontinental bicycle tour west to east across the U.S (2021).

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe we all have something to offer one another, regardless if its something mentally tangible, such as playing an instrument, or something more abstract. If you are in this community, I think you know exactly what teach, learn, share means in this sense here. If you participate fully and honestly, it's hard to miss.
