Hello I'm Matt.. I'm originally from London but currently working in Taunton at the UK Hydrographic Office. My love for traveling has taken me to all 7 continents and I love meeting new people from all over our planet. I enjoy playing guitar, keeping fit, bodyboarding, hiking, volleyball, various genres of music, trying national drinks and dishes

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Taunton is a town that's really grown on me. It has friendly people, traditional British pubs and is surrounded by beautiful countryside (Dartmoor, Exmoor etc) & close to the stunning coastlines of the far southwest (Devon & Cornwall - my favourite places in the world!). I am also passionate about showing people around London - I love the city and all of its hidden gems.

I have hosted people in London, Plymouth and Taunton. And I have so far couchsurfed in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Scotland, Germany. I look forward to surfing more in the future.

The UK's 3 Peaks Challenge - climbing the 3 highest mountains of England, Wales & Scotland all within 24 hours - and enjoying a well deserved scotch at the end
