Overview
About Me
I'm 25 and from Salt Lake City in the US, but I've tried to see as much of the world as I could in that time! Try to be as respectful, calm, and open-minded as I can.
I just finished a graduate program in the UK studying the intersection of water and politics. I'm traveling before I settle into a job and looking to meet new people and explore new places! Love to just wander new places, enjoy nice views, and generally hang out. I'm just a mellow guy who is trying to see a bit of the world and meet interesting new people along the way!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As one who studies politics, I believe in the peacebuilding potential of intercultural exchange — even in our own turbulent times — and I try to fulfill that in my own way everywhere I go. I want to actually get to know people in the places I visit! Looking to share stories (and whatever else I can), practice languages, explore the authentic sides of a country and learn whatever I can.
Interests
Anything remotely connected to society, nature, politics or the environment and I'm there. As far as my daily life, I love to listen to podcasts, run, drink coffee, hike, walk, and enjoy a drink with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Most hip hop, folk, reggae, jazz, and most anything else! Some favorites are Bob Dylan, Gang Starr, Miles Davis, The Band, Bruce Springsteen, Natiruts and Emicida.
Movies: Quentin Tarantino's movies are always top of the list
Books: Anything by George Orwell, Jorge Amado, Herman Melville, Kurt Vonnegut. Moby Dick is my favorite (yes, seriously)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I travelled around southern India for a month on the trains with my good friend. Not really that amazing in the grand scheme of things, but it was amazing for me :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Always love to learn about local history and nearby hiking trails. I can definitely give you tips about the places I've lived, especially the US. If you're interested in politics, that's what I study so I might have something to teach in that regard. My country certainly seem to be in the news quite a lot... Other than that I just seem to know lots of weird random facts!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Would love to share stories, any local insights, and I would always love to get you dinner or some beers!
