I'm from California and I love to travel. I study tropical ecology and conservation biology for a living. So I'm basically the luckiest happiest dude. I'm on this site because I would love to meet some interesting people while working/traveling in SE Asia.

I have been living in Sumatra for a year to do my dissertation research. I'm also employed as a National Geographic Society "Explorer."

I like to stay busy doing as much fun/active stuff as possible (surf, hike/ backpacking, bike, gym, running, concerts, anywhere that plays edm music, etc.)
