To advance society's transition to sustainability by implementing local programs and promoting their success as case studies for others to follow.

ABOUT ME

I am 25 years old and am a full-time proponent for sustainability and climate change action. I am a geek by trade, but have also been a martial arts instructor, wilderness guide, and ethics teacher.

I currently live in Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA, where I am running for public office.

I spend around 50 hours a week at the computer: writing, planning, and reading.

PHILOSOPHY

Young people have grown up being told that we can be anything we want, and we believe it. But we haven't been taught how to work or how to actually accomplish our dreams. If only all of these passionate and thoughtful young people would try, and not be afraid of mistakes, we would see a huge increase in innovation and cultural vibrancy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The best couchsurfing experience I had was a relatively local road trip. After graduating high school, some friends and I toured my home state, Arkansas. Another friend had just opened a coffee shop, so we hung out there and philosophized for a few days before moving on to other couches.

I like all sorts of music, but I have a special passion for genre-bending electronic music.

Most books I read are nonfiction: technical manuals, philosphy, social analysis, etc.

When it comes to movies, I'm not too into the artsy flicks, but I can't stand bad acting either.

I trained with the Tae Kwon Do Olympic Team in the mid-90's in Seoul, Korea...

I have seen lots of amazing things, but words cannot describe the natural beauty of Arkansas' forests, hills, and secluded canyons and waterfalls.
