About Me

Sincerely hoped that my limited linguistic ability would not barricade people from knowing me. Been blogger yet strangely find it less comfortable introducing myself not in mother tongue.

Working like slave in the cruelest city on earth, been wanting to travel around the world yet often encountered huge financial pressure as a self-employed worker. (Instrument tutors to be exact)

Often wanted to see great natural landscapes, wildlife and ancient ruins, yet upset by how touristic these destinations usually are.

Wanted to move out of touristic routes, yet afraid of unpleasantness and all kinds of misfortunes.
Losing faith on people, yet still wanted to give more try.

--------

I graduated in Sociology as my first degree, and Music Education as my second. Started working as music tutor since I was an undergraduate. Formed myself an independent band for 6-7 years as a drummer.

Been interested in world history, politics, sociology, labour issue, social movements; as well as music and education related topics. Often wanted to know more about foreign culture, yet afraid that it's all about consumerism. Desperate in knowing inspiring people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Has first learned how couchsurfing works when I was first in Iran 3 years ago.

Got hosted by a Tehran guy, amazed by how non-touristic accomodation could be. Knowing so well that tourism bears guilt, so as every tourist like me. Guilt marked in environment, as well as economic, social and stratification impact on foreign soil. Feeling that simply consuming (paying and staying in hotels and resorts, walking down all theme parks and attractions) would make the above conditions (The negative side on a country) even worst. Wanted to talk to real people (but not service provider) so much, yet feared even more that would got cheated in some how if I just randomly talk to a stranger on my journey. Heard good things about couchsurfing and thus wanted to use it as a platform to be a responsible traveler, know how the people of a place truely are, and thus can I tell my friends back home what you truely look like.

Minimize the damage that would have caused to a country, knowing real and inspiring people, and knowing the true face of a country.
