Hi there! I'm Matthias, 25 years old, from Verl, Germany. I recently completed my master's degree in Worms and am currently working as a tax clerk while preparing to take the CPA exam next year.

I have a passion for cooking, especially traditional dishes from Germany and other cuisines. A few years ago, I got into landscape photography, and now I rarely travel without my Sony camera. I'm also a big movie fan, particularly of everything by Nolan and Tarantino.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking with my dog and tackling random projects—like restoring an old boat from the DDR (East Germany).

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Getting to know the people and culture of the countries I visit, is one of my biggest reasons to travel. I usually travel by myself, as I feel it's easier to experience a foreign country this way. Sometimes it can be difficult at first to get to know local life though. I think Couchsurfing is a great way to come into contact with locals straight away.
I really liked my experiences on Couchsurfing so far, thanks to the great hosts I was able to stay at.
