About Me
At first: as many (foreign) people may have problems pronouncing my name - just call me Matt. I finished my master studies and started travelling in May 2016. I returned to Germany in July 2018, and now I'm about to settle down in Karlsruhe, where I started living in an apartment with my girflfriend who I met while travelling.
During my trip I had many great experiences with Couchsurfers and Couchsurfing and I hope it will continue in the future :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After travelling for more than two years and using couchsurfing regularly, I want to give something back to the community!

I'm obsessed with music! And even though I don't play any instrument, I love going to concerts. I also like to go climbing, cycling, skating and hiking.
I really like the sea - no matter where. The endless water, beaches and sunsets. But i also love the city life - like in Berlin, which will probably be my favourite city ever!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm quite open-minded to most music genres, but my favourites are indietronic, rock and post-hardcore. As far as bands are concerned these are Bloc Party, Bring Me The Horizon, Funeral for a Friend, Silverstein, Paramore, Chvrches, Yellowcard, Limp Birgit, The Naked and Famous, Grimes, blink-182, Enter Shikari and so much more! My musical profile is listed here: http://www.last.fm/user/used_prophet
I don't like Fantasy-Movies, despite that, I'm open for all kinds of genres - even trash movies :D Some of my favourite movies are Dogma, Superbad and South park.
Books, that get me riveted are mostly realistic scientific novels or horror stories.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Festivals are the greatest experiences I have ever made. Especially the Woodstock festival in Poland. These people were so kind and open-minded despite the language barriers.
Besides that, my first experiences with couchsurfing members in Bangkok and Bali was really fascinating.
And I literally survived the outback! And survived the floods cause by cyclone Debbie in Australia. And hiked amazing islands, mountains and trails - I love it!
Travelled for more than two years in Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia!
Teach, Learn, Share
I probably can't teach you much ... I'm technically skilled, and I'm helpful, so I can try to fix broken things ;-)
I'm also willing to share travel stories, my time and knowledge maybe during a beer or whatever.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm adventurous and I like to got out - so let's do that together :)
