WE ARE NOT HOSTING RIGHT NOW DUE TO LIFE-CHANGING CIRCUMSTANCES. WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING. I LOOK FORWARD TO HOSTING YA'LL SOON IN A NEW PLACE.
PEACE. LOVE.
Hi, nice to meeting you!
Want to cook something or have a drink? You can find out a lot about me, when you read the stuff down below.
- I graduated in 2016 and spent the fall traveling to Ireland, South Africa and the U.S., visiting my now wife, Haley
- 2017 and 18, I worked in Berlin and enjoyed life with family and friends.
- I moved to Gainesville, Florida in fall 2018 to live with my wonderful wife Haley. Waiting for a work permit, I stay busy growing vegetables, playing with our cats and working on our home and bicycles.
- We have a guest bedroom that holds two people on a comfortable futon.
Cheers!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I signed up, because I love traveling, meeting new people and experiencing the local life rather than hotel-tourism. I have just graduated from my studies and I will do a lot of travelling from now on, for vacation and career (maybe).
2015 I did an internship at Fraunhofer USA in Boston Massachusetts. Together with other interns, from Spain and Germany, we got around a lot. In January I went on a road trip to visit the south west, where I first couch surfed. I'm sure that on my next trip staying at your place will make it even better.
Interests
Whenever I have a full day, weekend or months you will find me on the road to somewhere. I prefer long hiking trips, carrying nothing but my deuter and a compass. Most of the time I pick a destination, last time it was Barcelona and get there somehow.
Next to traveling I am occupied with my studies. Besides I visit art galeries, even draw myself, and work for a small company that develops fantastic functions for your smart phone.
"A year of Sunshine" is the title of the book I am writing. It tells the story of a teenager who goes abroad for a year to live with a very nice family, living in Whittier, close to LA. He attends the local high school, where he falls deeply in love and gets to know lots of people who have their own story and place in this world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is as good as its diverse. But throughout the years, I have connected most to the sonds of the RedHotChiliPeppers. Being from Berlin, I share great apprechiation for electronic dance music. On top I like trips to Skar, Jazz and Reaggy.
The latest movies I watched and loved are The theory of everything (very sad but motivating) and of course Minions. TV-Shows I watch are House of Cards/Lies.
A great book: The Great Gatsby. A book I will probably never finish: The Unfinished Nation (gift from my US-History teacher).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Made a very sad friend laugh out loud :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Wanna learn some German? Do you know the most important Oktoberfest phrases?
What is a project? This, and everything about how to prepare, control and achieving goals is what I have been studying for 4 years now.
I would like to hear your opinion on some of the latest political topics or share my funniest CS-stories. Who is your favourite artist?

Stories about how I surved in France, not knowing one word and my first night in Barcelona. I can tell you about Boston and places me and other interns visited along the East Coast. And of course lots of randomness. I love cooking and would be glad to share some recipes with you.
