About Me

ATTENTION: Please note that we won't be able to host any guests after the 1st April 2017 because we are getting ready for some long term traveling.

I grew up near Stuttgart, Germany and moved to Scotland to study for my masters in Mechanical Engineering. I love Scotland so much, that I stayed and have been here for 4 years already. Scotland is probably one of the most beautiful countries in the world, in fact I love all of it, except for the rain. Aside from work I enjoy cycling and exploring the great outdoors and I play in a brass band.

I usually travel with my partner Zoe, who works as a small animal vet. She was born near London and came to Scotland to study Veterinary Medicine. Zoe loves travelling and adventures and would like to help animals around the world. In her spare time she runs, hikes, cycles and goes kickboxing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have started couchsurfing because I love the idea of meeting up with locals during travelling and taking a completely different approach to normal tourists. It is awesome to find hidden treasures and knowledge about local culture and most travellers never know about.

Both Zoe and I love hosting and can't wait to couchsurf ourselves in 2017/2018.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We have lived in Scotland for 4 years and various other places in England and Germany so we can tell you quite a bit about them.
Since May 2017 we have been travelling around Europe and Asia. We have done amazing things and were lucky to meet some great people and friends along the way. If you are interested we can tell you all about it! We are also both good at cooking and would happily cook some British/German food.

What I can share with travellers:

I'd love you share my knowledge about Glasgow and the whole area with you. If you are interested, we can go on day trips to lots of lovely places in this part of Scotland. It may be worth mentioning that we live on the edge of the west end of Glasgow. From our flat it takes about 15min to the city center by train of half a hour by bus. There are plenty of things to do and see in the west end that are en route.
