About Me
I'm a 19 year old traveller from Germany who wants to travel through Canada for this year. This is my first time travelling for such a long time. I've begun to travel through Canada, because I was part of an exchange program 2 years ago where I went to a canadian school. It was so amazing that I decided to delay my study plans and travel though Canada for a whole year immediately after finishing school. I love the nature of Canada and I want to see as much as posible and I also want to meet many different and interesting people here.
I live in the northern part of Germany at the baltic sea coast in Kühlungsborn(google maps link: https://www.google.ca/maps/place/K%C3%BChlungsborn,+Germany/@54.1343417,11.7393363,13z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x47ada930f01dd6f3:0x4251ae8ad848580).
It is a small village with a population of jst 8000. But it is very popular during the summer and many people from south and middle Germany comes there to enjoy the sea and go swimming in the baltic sea. With all the tourists, the population more than doubles in the summer. Kühlungsborn is 200 km east of Hamburg and 250 km north of Berlin. The next bigger city in the region is Rostock(city tour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3hJ-99SJ24). I went to school there for 8 years.
I just started travelling directly after graduating from german highschool, because I want to experiene a different kind of culture and nature than Germany and I look forward to see as much as possible of Canada in one year.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In my first month in Canada I met another german traveller and we talked about the hostels and hotels, because they are very expensive and he recommended Couchsurfing to me as a good alternative way. It's a good way to meet many different people who also know much about the region, so they can give you advice and show you around what is really nice. I look forward to make some awesome memories with couchsurfing too.
Interests
I like to read and I also like to listen to music. I enjoy playing videogames although i can't do that when I'm travelling, because I left my computer at home obviously and it wouldn't be clever to be playinfrom g videogames while travelling, because you want to see the place you travel to and not some videogame. I also like to do some sports like Soccer( I was in a soccer club for 7 years), Volleyball, Pingpong and I also learned to play Ultimate Frisbee in Canada. I also like to play any kind of different card or board game and I like to learn some new ones( Don't expect to learn one from me, because I'm horrible at explaining, especially in english, only really simple games). I also played chess in a chess club in Germany and I like to play it very much.
I'm also very interested in prehistoric flora and fauna such as dinosaurs. I also want to study this to become a palaeontologist.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't really have a favorite music. I just listen to almost everything that I like from Rock to Daeth Metal to HipHop. Maybe rock is the type of music I like the most.
I don't really have a favorite movie, maybe Forest Gump, because it's the one I watched the most.
My favorite series is Dragonball Z, an anime form Japan.
I like to read fantasy novels and thrillers the most, but I also like Comedy. My favorite authors are Terry Pratchett and Horst Evers.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 12 years old I went skydiving near my hometown. It was really amazing. I'd like to that again when I find a beautiful spot.
