Hello, my name is Matthias.
I love travelling and get to know new people, new cultures and new dishes from all over the world.
My last years I spent working and living mostly out of my backpack in Spain, Mexico, South America and Vienna. De hecho me encanta el mundo hispanohablante! :-)

Even though I'm a member of cousurfing for quite a while, I just actually used it as a "guest" for the first time while travelling through Colombia, which was a great experience. At the moment, I'm still on the road exploring Spain and Portugal. Once I'm back to settled life with my own department in Vienna I'd love to give back all the love and generosity I have received from my hosts, living the principle of reciprocity and inviting the world into my living room to learn from new perspectives.

Not only because I'm studying natural sciences, I love being outside and enjoy the different faces of nature and landscapes. Besides, I would call myself as a very sociable, easy going, spontaneous person and I value the small joys of life :)

I got to know Couchsurfing while living together with Max (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/maxfelber) for quite some time. We both liked the idea and spirit of Couchsurfing to enrich our daily lifes with interesting travel stories from visitors around the globe :-)
