About Me
Hello fellow couchsurfer !
My name is Matthieu, I'm 31 and have spent the biggest part of my life in France. Last year I decided to quit my job to set myself on a world trip to see how people on the other side of the planet were doing.
I just came back from a 3 month trip in Nepal, trekking to Everest Base Camp and staying in monasteries to study meditation, followed by a 2 month trip in India, learning about music, writing and volunteering in schools.
The last 4 years I was working as a medical engineer in Paris, in the management of radiation-induced injuries. But I decided I wanted to spend my time and energy in education. I think many things should be changed in society and feel education is a good place to start.
On the side of my job, I have been volunteering quite a bit, as an emergency worker, a french teacher for refugees and by setting philosophic discussion and meditation moments with kids.
I love learning and sharing in authentic ways. I feel couchsurfing is the best way to discover people and places.
I'm really easygoing, I can adapt very well and I ask for very little confort.
I also love dogs, playing music, climbing trees and having big discussions about life around a nice home prepared meal.
