Overview
About Me
After one year spent doing a PhD in fundamental condensed matter physics in Switzerland, I decided to quit my job and become a high school teacher. Deadlines being deadlines, I have now a free year and I decided to travel the world for 5 months.
My journey will lead me to Dubaï, the Philippines, Japan, Bali, Singapore and Oz over two months. Finally I'll settle in NZ for 3 months to visit the South Island. I've recently taken on trail running and I will try to run on the heights here and there. Definetely sporty, I'd like to learn scuba diving in Cebu and surfing in Bali.
I get myself busy with whatever I find. If I don't find anything to do, I'll just lay around. I might be a cat.
I may talk too much.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because locals knows better.
Interests
I spent my life studying physics. I'm a huge Tolkien's fan. I really enjoy swimming and playing soccer and now trail running. And skiing too. Getting up at 5am to welcome the sun over the Swiss mountains is awesome.

Music, Movies, and Books
Depends on my mood. Reagae on the beach, La Belle Musique mixtapes during the beer break when skiing. For outdoor activities, wind.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hard to tell. I would say swimming with wild dolphins in the open sea in NZ. Wwoofing in NZ is also definitely amazing.
Also a friend and I were homeless one night in Chicago, with a "broken" knee, a guitar and a duffle-coat (it was summer). From bars, to Blues club to the train station to parks. Somehow it was awesome.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Never tired, good attitude, funny. I have no artistic capabilities but I am great talker (listener if I'm busy tasting a beer) :D
