Overview
About Me
Hi everyone;
My name is Matthieu, I am 22 years old and I am a French student at the Sorbonne (studying law so not really exiciting for sur)
Also, I am someone who loves to travel and discover the world. In particular, I was able to go to different countries such as an association for disabled children in Nepal with 4 of my companions, taking part in Scout and Guide of France or in Romania in Bucharest to help build a school.
I love to travel and this allows me to meet people from other countries with whom I still have many contacts.
Otherwise I also like to practice all kinds of sports activities and even the most eccentric because adrenaline is something I look for in each of the activities I practice (parachute jumping, parkour).
In addition I have never been very good in language (except English) but discovering new cultures is a very good exercise to try to improve so I count on you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on this platform because before discovering this site, it was much more complicated to go and meet people from different countries. Being able to meet and communicate with users in different countries is a really cool method as it allows us to enjoy our trip even more.
This month, I use couchsurfing because I leave for 1 month with a friend to go around Eastern Europe in bus and hitchhiking with a backpack (and some beers of course).
Hoping you meet on my way

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorites movies and books are with absolutely no doubts The Lord of the rings and Harry Potter. But i also appreciate movies like Forrest Gump, Avengers or Titanic.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2019, I was able to go with 4 of my friends to Nepal to an orphanage for disabled children. This was by far the most extraordinary experience of my life from an emotional point of view.
I was able to share for nearly a month the daily life of Nepalese children who were victims of all kinds of disabilities (mute, deaf, blind) by giving them French classes but also by doing different activities with them. We taught them baseball and dodgeball, and they taught us taekwondo.
In addition, this experience allowed me to visit the surroundings of the city of Kathmandu by walking between the rice fields and participating in the daily tasks of the locals.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would like to share with my hosts the adventure I will live and for that, I want to share my culture, my passions and above all have fun with them by making me discover all their knowledge and experience.
