ABOUT ME

I like to go out and maybe stay up late on weekends, and on some weekends I may be able to show people around, especially if they want to go hiking or other outdoor adventuring. I leave for work during the week at 8:30 am and I have a quite flexible schedule.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Right now my main form of participating is by providing a couch for travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been hosting a few friends before knowing CS exists, and since then I have hosted two nice people from Hungary. Was a great experience, as I think CS has to be. I have never surfed yet, but it should be for next future.

Interests

I am interested in quite everything, but if I have to restrain a bit I would say: outdoors, photography (including stereoscopic photography and movies), computer vision, architecture, archeology, geography, geocaching, travelling, acoustic guitar, etc.
If to deal with sports, my main interest centers are: hiking, paragliding, skiing, mountain biking, mountain climbing, white water canoe and kayak, scuba diving, rock climbing, squash, tennis, handball, rugby, kite skiing, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is one short pannel of kind of movies I like:
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, La guerre des boutons, O'brother, La cité de la peur, Ghost in the shell, Peut-être, Les aventures du baron de Munchausen, Into the Wild, Sergio Leone films.
Music ranges from electronica, through rock, reggae to French classic pop (Gainsbourg) or more classic singers (Brassens).
I have been for a long time interested in SF books and novels, now I like to read a large pannel of litterature. Last book I liked was Romain Gary "La promesse de l'aube"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my best souvenir is a hiking and paragliding trip in Morocco, with amazing landscapes, living with local people and flying from Toubkal summit, and also the week after landing into the sea after taking of close to Essaouira!
Another amazing experience was to fly from the Aiguille du Midi, close to Mont Blanc, with 24 other paragliders from South of France.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am kind of dabbler. I have been nearly into everything, but as far as I switch from an activity to another, I am not an expert in anything. I like to try new activities, to see new places, and to meet new people. The only thing I have in mind and that I'd like to learn is dancing, but I am really not good! ;)
And I need to improve my cooking, but I am not so bad when I have some time. I would be happy to share things around photography, outdoor activities, sculpture, culture, architecture, sports, etc...
