About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Giving and taking the opportunity to travel while meeting the most interesting people

ABOUT ME

I'm a person who tries to enjoy as much life as possible. Not only by hanging out with the dearest of people around me but also by making as much travels as possible and by meeting up with new people. I study Anthropology and enjoy a lot of times by making music.

PHILOSOPHY

Although time's a man's invention, it wouldn't make life any shorter if it was timeless, so make most of the time you have.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting up with foreign people in my neighbourhood, both as meeting up with local people in foreign places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although it wasn't through couchsurfing.org I have had a couple of couchsurfers at my place as well as being the couchsurfer myself. Some examples:

Jonny Havens (Boulder, Colorado) (2009) - Stayed for 1 night before departing back to the States again.
Max Josephson (LA, California) (2010) - Stayed for 2 days during his Euro-trip experience.
Laura Janssens (Leuven, Belgium) (2012) - I stayed there for 1 night with friends.
USA-Roadtrip 2012: Couchsurfed at Danielle and Krystal in Queens, NYC; Taylor, Washington D.C.; Jonny, Boulder, CO; Blake, Bozeman, MO --> All amazing experiences

Books: Millenium (Stieg Larsson), Kaas (Willem Elsschot)
Music: Tallest Man On Earth, Patrick Watson, Fleet Foxes, Jim Croce, Bonobo

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Cycling through villages and ricefields for a day without any purpose in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
2. Hitchhiking through Europe for a couple of weeks.
3. Making friends with an American guy who lived in the Netherlands for a year, but who I unfortunately had to meet 2 days before he returned. Whe spent the last 48 hours of his time in the Netherlands together and always stayed in contact.

Teach, Learn, Share

I give guitar lessons to beginners, here you can see me play one of my own songs with my friend Pieter:
