There is so much to learn from the world and from every single person! I'm Mattie, and my rules for life are pretty simple: kindness and curiosity. I love to meet people from every walk of life and hear their stories.

I love how spaces can bring people together, so I'm studying to be a landscape architect. A day isn't complete to me unless I've been outside. I think plants can be just as complicated as human beings, and I love learning about how people relate to their land and world.

I'm pretty new to Minneapolis and Minnesota, so we'd be exploring together! I lived in Washington DC and then NYC before here.

I travelled for a long time a few years ago using couchsurfing and woofing, and the people I met became friends and definitely changed my life and perspectives on life. I finally have a house where I can host people, so I'm so excited to be able to give back.
