About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live beautifully; continue to avoid tooth decay

ABOUT ME

Tall, silly, happy. I like to get muddy. I drink from jars. My spirit animal is an ostrich that climbs rocks and plays Frisbee. I love people and I believe in them above all else.

PHILOSOPHY

When in doubt, make oatmeal.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed all over Scotland and hosted in Ireland...as soon as I can I am going to open up my doors again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Growing and growing as we speak!

Interests

This, for me, is an unanswerable question. I'm interested in everything...except Facebook, vodka, and copy machines. I think I am most interested in another person's passions--when somebody expresses a fascination with that which makes his/her life engaging and invites me to share in this fascination, I feel incredibly lucky.

I want to climb really amazing rocks, start a nude sea kayaking club, listen to hip-hop and teach. Other than that, I want to meet the world and the things which delight its people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now:

Music--Little Brother, Lisa Hannigan, Federico Aubele, NaS, Sonny Rollins, Allen Stone, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Yonder Mountain String Band, Israel Vibration

Books--Angle of Repose, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, A Prayer for Owen Meany, My First Summer in the Sierra; all kinds of poetry.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen a lot of incredible things, but taking a canoe out on Lake Titicaca to watch the sun rise over Ancohuma and Illampu is pretty high on the list.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to think that I can make anyone comfortable. I can teach you how to make really good beef stew, how to beatbox and how to climb radio towers.

More importantly, this world is full of amazing, beautiful people, and I am trying to find the best way to express this as sincerely as possible.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bolivia, Canada, Czech Republic, El Salvador, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Ireland, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
