About Me
I'm traveling and unfortunately can't host somebody till I'm back at home.
Hi, I am Mattis. I am 18 years old and finished school last year. Now, I have a working and holiday visa for Chile and have six month to discover beautiful South America. I have made a few voluntary jobs, which was a great and sometimes challenging experience (I can tell you some stories, if we meet for a coffee or beer 😉).
At the moment I am just enjoying to travel, that means: I am free, I am not working for the next weeks. I love to have time to sit down in nature and watch the landscape, to sit down in cities and watch the people’s life down here in South America. I love to have time, every day, to discover and to find places, that feel like home. I am young, I am curious and full of energy.
I am a calm guy, who loves to take his time, but I am a really open person too: I would love to get in deeper contact with the people around me, to get to know them, to understand the culture (and the language 😄 ) that surrounds me.
I just started to travel, as I finished school last year. So I would love to get to know the world and I could definitely tell you some good stories from my few travel experiences, but also from my life back in Germany.
What else should you know about me? I am a vegetarian for ten years.
I love Baseball, this is definitely my sport. But Basketball is great too.
I have a lovely and creative older sister.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I mentioned before: I am curious. I want to know you, here in Chile. And maybe.. one day, I could host you back in Germany (wherever I am going study)
I slept in Hostels or did some camping, that was really fun and a great experience. Now, it feels like looking for some new options, leaving the Backpacker-Bubble and connect with some cool, open-minded locals, who are interested in showing me their home, their own Chile, their everyday life.
