Présentation
À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
To go swimming in the pacific ocean soon.
ABOUT ME
I love to swim (especially in natural bodies of water). I love to read good books or articles. I love to talk and share conversation with other people. I love to learn about new things. I love to travel and meet new friends. I haven't traveled as much as I'd like to. I enjoy good food and drink especially when shared with a fun group of people. I'd love to come crash on your couch or have you come crash on mine. There is plenty more to know about me, but you'll learn it all in time.
PHILOSOPHY
Be nice. Help as often as you can. Accept help when you need it. Have a good time and try to help others around you have a good time as well.
I live my life because it is pretty much the most bad ass gift I've ever been given. My greatest goal is to one day take part in giving this gift of life to some one else and then help teach them a similar sense of appreciation for life that I have.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, I'm offering up a sleep space and I made a little contribution to this site. Other than that, I'm going to try to meet some new friends and make some good memories.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Before I was ever involved in this web site, my roommate a few years back had some guys crash at our place. They were making a really long bicycle trip and need a place in Baton Rouge. They stayed one night and slept on the floor and were gone in the morning. They were cool dudes, just didn't really have too much time to get to know them. I'm glad we could give them a safe spot to crash for the night though.

Stretching/flexibility (don't know too much about yoga, but I'd like to learn more)

Bicycling (I love taking a bike ride around the LSU lakes)
Kayaking, but there really isn't much opportunity to do it around here.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
There are so many amazing things going on in the world every day. I suppose the most thrilling thing I've ever done (you might also say it is amazing that I did it and didn't die) was free climb (no harness or safety equipment) 5 stories up the side of a building in downtown quebec. When I looked down at the concrete, my hands started to sweat. It took me about 5 times longer to climb down than it took going up.
The most amazing thing I've seen was the sky on a crystal clear night from the top of a mountain in Colorado. There was no moon, but you could have read a book that night with the amount of starlight.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I've been a swimmer all my life. I've been a Lifeguard, a lifeguard instructor, a swim coach, and a swim instructor. I've taught many people how to swim and would be glad to share instruction with any one looking to learn about moving through water. I guess I could also teach you some lifeguarding skills, but you'd still need a formal class to be certified.
I'd love to learn some hands on crafting type skills such as wood carving/wood working. Some day, I'd like to build my own boat out of wood.
